Ralph ‘Skip’ Luken



Working as Freelance sustainable development advisor on industry-related environmental issues since 2002 to present.

Worked as the senior environmental advisor for the United Nations Industrial Development Organization in Vienna, Austria between 1990 and 2002. Previous to this assignment he worked as a senior economist at the US Environmental Protection Agency for twenty years (1970-1990) as well as for the US Agency for International Development in the Philippines and the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific in Bangkok. He holds a PhD in environmental economics from the University of Michigan and has written several books and articles in the environmental field, including more recently Towards Sustainable Development in Industry and Environment and Industry in Developing Countries: Assessing the Adoption of Environmentally Sound Technology.
