Convened by UNIDO and UNEP, the Global Network for Resource Efficient and Cleaner Production (RECPnet) brings together leading RECP service providers on a global and regional level to catalyze the effective and widespread application of RECP in developing and transition economies. It does so by offering specialized, high-quality technical and advisory services to industries, capitalizing on synergies between its members and working to continuously improve their capacities.

The network consists of over 70 members, covering 60 countries around the world. Typically, members of RECPnet comprise officially recognized organizations or initiatives that deliver as a core activity RECP services in developing and transition economies, and commit to cooperate beyond an exclusive profit motive in the spirit of international collaboration, knowledge exchange and professional excellence. Individually and collectively, RECPnet members contribute to the effective and efficient development, application, adaptation, scaling up and mainstreaming of RECP concepts, methods, policies, practices and technologies in industry.

In line with its global networking character, RECPnet also aims to facilitate inter-regional and South-South cooperation with regard to the transfer of RECP-relevant knowledge, experiences and technologies.

RECPnet is furthermore a valuable partner for government and industry in the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), in particular SDGs #9 on Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure, and SDG #12 on Responsible Consumption and Production.

RECPnet also hosts an online Knowledge Management System (KMS), which consists of an e-library and web-based communication services. The material comprises toolkits, training documents, manuals, guidelines, case studies, factsheets, success stories, events, indicators and benchmarks, research papers, expert profiles, and training courses. In order to take advantage of this comprehensive and global collection of RECP knowledge products, kindly log in or register here.
