Chief Advisor to the Director General and Head of the Director General’s Office

Manuel Mattiat is the Chief Advisor to the Director General and Head of the Director General’s Office.

The Chief Advisor and Head of Office advises the Director General on questions related to the management of the Organization, relationships with Member States and partners and the implementation of DG’s reform agenda. He supports the Director General in his day-to-day schedule.

Prior to his current role, Mr. Mattiat held assignments in Technical Cooperation with a focus on sustainable energy, as well as the Africa Bureau and Field Office in Côte d’Ivoire.

Mr. Mattiat is a graduate of the University of Oxford, Sciences Po Paris and the Diplomatic Academy of Vienna.
